Comparative Study on Carbon Nanotube Coating Method

Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are quickly becoming a viable replacement option for producing transparent conductive films. In this analysis, a comparison between coating methods showed that when using slot die to prepare transparent conductive CNT film, sheet resistivity was non-uniform and optical defects such as stripes were visible. Using Microgravure™, a proven method for uniform coating of low viscosity inks, it was possible to greatly improve the uniformity of the sheet resistivity as well as the visual appearance.
