Mike Sullivan became the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at MTI Polyexe Inc., an Inteplast Group company, in 2005. He started his converting industry career, in the early 1970s, operating a slitter for Sullivan Paper Company, and has many years of production and supervisory experience on printers, coaters, laminating and embossing equipment. In 1980 Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine's Chemical Engineering Department with a specialty in Pulp & Paper Technology.
At the beginning of his professional career, Mike held Sales Engineer, Product Development and Sales Manager positions at PH Glatfelter, James River Corporation, Deerfield Specialty Papers and SD Warren, (now SAPPI). Moving downstream from papermaking to the converting industry in the mid-90s, Mike was charged with increasing responsibilities at HP Smith, (now Loparex), the Huhtamaki Films Division, (now Infiana), and currently at MTI Polyexe Inc.
At Mike's urging, MTI Polyexe became an AIMCAL member in 2007 and that same year the company won the AIMCAL Technology of the Year Award for their specialty traction films. Although most of his industry expertise is in the release liner business, Mike also has three US patents for other converting industry products and processes.
He lives with his wife Sarah in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. They have three sons and a daughter. When time permits, they enjoy hunting, fishing, golf and doing remodeling projects.
